Pulley Labs

We started our 2nd Science unit on Pulleys. Today, students investigated the differences between Single Fixed and Single Movable pulleys. We also used our spring scales to measure the amount of effort (Newtons) it took to move our load. Enjoy the pictures!

Lever Lab

We have been working on Levers in Science for the last 3 or 4 weeks. The kids studied what makes a lever and how different levers operate. They were very surprised to see how many levers one uses in a day. We are in the process of finishing up levers and will be going on to Pulleys soon! Here are pictures from our recent Lever Lab!

Week #3

Well, this week is going well. We have finally settled into our lovely routine. The kids are getting used to the schedule as well. I just wish that there were more hours in the school day. Too much to do, not enough hours to do it in!

First Week

The first week went off without a problem! I really enjoyed it. The kids still were good...no problems yet! We got a lot of team building activities in, and a lot of other fun activities done. I also got to use my Iboard daily! I love having that! Above are some pictures of my students working on writing prompts! Enjoy!

The day went great! I really enjoyed getting to know them all! It seems like they all mesh well! The morning was super quiet...they were all nervous, but by the afternoon, I couldn't seem to get them to be quiet! So far so good....more info to come!

Preparations
